Winter Peace
by Jenny Griffiths

Hello Crafty Friends,

Imagine yourself in a snowy forest and you come upon this view...I would stay a while, wouldn't you?

With the latest Memory Box holiday dies this card comes together rather easily.  Here are the steps...

Wintery Peace

  • Create the snowflake backgrounds on both blue background panels by spreading texture paste over the snowflake stencil, set aside to dry (only takes 5 minutes or so).  When dry, die cut the dark blue snowflake panel using the circle die which is closest in size to the forest die.
  • Die cut the tree branch circle die from silver glitter paper using the snowflake panel opening as a guide for placement.
  • Die cut the deer family circle die from white paper, again using the snowflake panel opening as a guide.
  • Attach light blue snowflake panel behind the deer family layer.
  • Adhere all layers together aligning openings.  Trim any uneven edges with paper trimmer and attach all layers to a top fold note card.
  • Die cut the peace die three times (from fun foam, silver glitter paper and white paper).
  • Adhere the glitter Peace die cut to the fun foam material then adhere white layer onto glitter layer (offset slightly to show the glitter layer).
  • Adhere Peace stack onto snowflake panel.

There are several steps but they're all easy-peasy and worth it.

This card could have easily been made into a shaker card by adding an acetate window and fun foam for the spacing along with a pretty glitter-sequin-bead mix for the shaking materials.  Next time!  Be sure to check out the other circle die cuts from the new collection...besides the Tree Branch and Deer Family designs there is a Pine Branch and Countryside circle too!

Thanks for stopping by today, Hope you found some inspiration to create cards this weekend!
