Peaceful by Penny Ward
Hello friends. Penny here today with something on the manly side. There are those few good men who receive holiday cards from us, and I do try to make them a little more masculine, rather than poinsettias or ornaments. Do you design your cards with someone special in mind?
This is how I made my Peaceful card:
On watercolor paper, ink with Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Bough Distress inks. Once you are satisfied, die cut the Fresh Pine Curved Border. Adhere this to the bottom of your White card base.
Die cut Deer in the Trees Silhouette from White cardstock. Ink trees with the same inks as the Fresh Pine Border. Color deer with Pencils or whatever medium you choose. Adhere to card front.
Finish the card by die cutting Stitched Cloud Trio from White cardstock. I coated these with White Amplify! and let dry.
To give the card just a bit of color, I added some washi tape tags beneath the largest cloud. I also used a scrap of leftover watercolor paper to stamp and heat emboss my sentiment from the Delightful Ornament stamp set.
I love this die for the fact that you get an added bonus of the embossed deer. Now I wish I had made a matching tag.
On the to-do list!
Happy Crafting,
Love the soft colours and would be great as a birthday card with a different sentiment too.
