Fri 30

I am so glad you stopped by today! I have a clean and simple Christmas card using some of the new release. There are so many gorgeous new dies out, including the holly and ivy.

I started by taking a piece of white card stock, and die cutting the large Dancing Snowflake Oval and setting the detailed layer aside. I then took the open oval and backed it with vellum. Then, using silver card stock, I die cut the lovely Holly Holiday Corner, along with colored card stocks to create a colorful corner piece. I did that twice, and adhered those to my vellum backed frame.

Taking more of the silver card stock, I ran it through with the Brush Stroke Peace word die, along with several layers of black, and adhered them all together. I placed it in the center of the panel. I adhered the other piece of the Dancing Snowflake Oval behind the vellum, and affixed the whole piece to a white card base.

As a finishing touch, I added a bit of shimmer to one side of each leaf. There are so many possibilities with these dies, gold instead of silver, non traditional colors for the leaves, and berries, etc. So many fun holiday cards you could make with these!

Thanks so much for joining me! Have a wonderful weekend!

the "Peace" sentiment is a nice size for this pretty card.

Your card is so beautiful Lindsay, the peace sentiment looks stunning in silver against the background. Just lovely!

Your hidden vellum layer is just inspired, Lindsay. Such a beautiful card. Love how the vellum gives a touch of 'softness' to the whole design. X

fab clean and simple cards love it.

Your card is lovely, Lindsay.
