I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer. It is a new month and time for a new challenge. We hope you will play along with the theme through the end of the month. You will even have the chance to win prizes! Thank you so much to everyone who created such wonderful projects for last month's sketch challenge.
The winner of our blog badge for the last challenge is ElizStewart from the Paper Sweetness blog:
The lucky winner of the draw for the monthly prize is Jane Swart with her entry on Flickr . Congratulations!
Please contact me at [email protected] to claim your prize.
Want to play along in this month's challenge? The rules are simple - just create a project following the theme, use at least one Memory Box stamp or die on your project and link your entry to this blog post. You can make a card, a scrapbook page, a home decor item, etc.. To encourage participants with various levels of stamping experience, one entry will be selected at random to win a prize. Enter as many times as you want, but your name will only be entered once into the random prize drawing. In addition, the design team will select their favorite entry to be highlighted on the Outside the Box blog and that designer will receive our winner badge to proudly display on their blog.
You don't have to have a blog in order to participate. You can upload your project to any online gallery and link it to this post. In fairness to other players, we reserve the right to remove entries that do not use at least one Memory Box product. You are also welcome to link your design to other challenges. Feel free to grab our badge to post on your blog post or side bar.
It is August, and the weather is hot, hot, hot! When I think about the month of August, one of the first things I think about is bright sunlight and the color yellow. Therefore, this month's challenge is all about creating a project (card, scrapbook page, home decor, etc..) that highlights the color yellow. It can be any theme and use any medium you like so long as there is a yellow element in your design. Feel free to think "Outside the Box" with this challenge. You don't have to make a Summer card if you don't want to. In fact, all of the designers used Winter elements such as snowflakes and poinsettias in their yellow project samples.
Here are a few ideas by the design team to help get you started:
by Lindsay Amrhein.
by Penny Ward.
by Melissa Rusk.
Ready to create your own yellow project? There are two ways to enter.
1.) Link your finished work below.
2.) Enter on Instagram by tagging your sketch project with the #mbchallenge15 hashtag
You have until the end of the day (EST) on Monday, August 29th to enter. One project will be chosen at random to win the following prizes. They are part of the BRAND NEW release! Don't forget, you have to use at least one Memory Box item on your entry.
Congratulations to the winners. Vibrant and gorgeous inspiration from the team, thank you x

Didn't enter last month, but I'm going to make a point to for August's challenge--what a wonderful prize! Christmas cards are my favorite to make, so would put the new goodies to use! Love the DT cards--very creative to use yellow on a Christmas card!
