Let it Snow
by Shelby Thomas

Let it snow 2

Welcome back to this afternoon's post.  I hope everyone has been enjoying the fabulous new release dies and stamps and checking out the wonderful makes from the DT!!  I have a wintery themed card for you today.  On days like today when it's 90+ degrees it's hard to believe that snow and cold will arrive again.

Let it snow

The card base is 5.25 x 5.25 which shows off the wonderful Snowflake Ring.  I cut out the snowflake ring twice and snipped one of the rings so I could have the interlaced.  The background for this card was done with watercolors and some bubble wrap which created the dots you see.  The "snow" on the card was done with UTEE heated from the backside so all of the embossing powder didn't fly all over my desk.  I used a  stipple brush and white acrylic paint to lightened up the edges of the panel.

And finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Snowglobe Wishes stamp set in blue stazon ink.

For a chance to win the Snowflake Ring, leave a comment to be entered into the random drawing.  Good luck to everyone and don't forget to come back and visit tomorrow to see more more wonderful inspiration and another chance to win!!

Lovely card...I saw the snowflake ring on the Memory Box website and was on the fence about buying it...your card has inspired me to put it on my wish list 😀

Eeek, I just took a peek at the Snowglobe Wishes stamps - Must have! Shelby, your card is gorgeous! I love this snowflake ring! So many possibilities! Love your background too!

Thanks for cooling us off with this card, Shelby. Don't know where you are, but it's 90+ here in CT, too, a very pretty card.

Lovely card with a very cool background. The Snowflake Ring die is intriguing. Look forward to seeing more ideas using it.

I love snowflakes and how you made your card.

The snowflake ring is awesome and I love your background techniques. Well done.

This card is beautiful....love the background as well...and I really love the die....I love my Memory Box dies!!!!

Pretty card, and I love the die.

Beautiful icy card ! Hope you cool down soon!

Super card - I love your idea of interlacing the two snowflake rings. Your background is spectacular !!!

Ohhhh... I think this lovely Snowflake Ring is destined to become one of my favorites! Beautiful background and textures on your card, and an absolutely gorgeous die!

Beautiful card! I love the Snowflake Ring & how you put them together. Really awesome dies in this release!

This is just a beautiful card! The design and coloring are wonderful and I just love the snowflake ring! Thank
you so much!!

Blue and white Christmas cards have always been my favourite ones - and I love, love, love this one combining my other favourite thing - watercolour.

I love that card just as much as I love my WI winters! I could have so much fun with that snowflake ring die. I make a lot of winter cards. [Besides that it's hot and humid here this week... and I SO don't like it!]

STUNNING!!! With the humidity here, we are near 100 + degrees.....No air conditioning at home or at work and the fans just aren't cooling us down. Send me some of that snow to cool me down ;)

A lovely card, the snowflake ring looks so versatile

This die is gorgeous! Love the background too with, great tip with the snow.

Beautiful card and beautiful die!

This really is quite beautiful, Shelby.
I love the soft edges and how the colour is concentrated in the middle of the design.
Very pretty :)

Beautiful card. I love the snowflake ring.

What an amazing card. I love your watercolor background and what you did with the snowflake ring. Love, love, love it!!!

Absolutely beautiful, love the coloring. :)

Love your card and the die is so pretty another for my wish list, and hard to believe temperatures of 90 degrees, we are in the midst of summer and are only getting 20 degrees celcius in my bit of the uk not our normal summer dull cloudy days so your card really brightened my day so thank you.

Love this die & your card is beautiful.
