Holly

What a great Blog Blitz last week! And so many new products still to showcase!!! Today I'm featuring the HOLLY SWIRL OVAL FRAME die 99522. I've used it in combination with the new GARDEN HOLLY BOUGH stencil 88611 and one die from the STITCHED OVAL LAYERS set of 8 dies no. 30069.
Materials Used:
- GARDEN HOLLY BOUGH stencil 88611; LaBlanche Specialty Stamping Paper (but any white cardstock will work); Hero Arts Mid-Tone Green Hills Ink; fingertip dauber
- HOLLY SWIRL OVAL FRAME die 99522; Key Lime Distressed Dots paper
- STITCHED OVAL LAYERS die set 30069; White cardstock; Hero Arts Mid-Tone Green Hills ink daubed around the edge
- Key Lime notecard; red sparkle "berries"
Once I had stenciled the Garden Holly Bough, I cut the paper to 4X5.25 and mounted it to the Key Lime notecard. I used a glue pen to secure the Holly Swirl Oval Frame to the Stitched Oval Layer. I adhered the oval layers flat to the card front and added some sparkly red gems for berries. That's it! Quick and easy.
Depending on how I stamp my sentiment and write on the inside, this card may be oriented with the fold at the top or the side.
For a simpler card, use just the Holly Swirl Oval Frame cut from patterned paper on a white notecard.
A few pearls and a pretty ribbon finish each of these cards in no time! I think this die is going to get a lot of use for my holiday cards. Happy Crafting!
Nice! I like how you combined the new die with the older stitched oval as a layer.

I thought this holly oval looked fab and now I'm even more convinced it should be near the top of my wish list, definitely time to start planning a bank robbery, so many dies so little cash.
