Happy Fourth of July
by Anne

I hope you are enjoying this Fourth of July holiday!   For many people this is a long weekend that often gets extended into a week's vacation.   Barbecues, boat rides, fireworks...it has been a busy weekend thus far!

Today's cards celebrate the July VACATION in glittery red, white, and blue.

  • White notecard
  • Distressed Dots paper, Blueberry; white cardstock
  • VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
  • Silver mirror cardstock
  • Red glitter paper (a gift from a friend)
  • STUDIO CIRCLE LAYERS dies set 30016
  • STITCHED OVAL LAYERS dies set 30069
  • STARLIT BREEZE die 99398
  • AIRPLANE ADVENTURES dies 99389
  • WELL PLANNED clear stamp set CL5155
  • corner rounder; tape runner, pop-dots; glue dots

For the card above, I die cut the large circle from both the glittery red cardstock and the white.  Before adhering them together, I die cut the STARLIT BREEZE into the glittery red circle.  One of the small silver airplanes from AIRPLANE ADVENTURES follows the loop into the Blueberry Distressed Dots sky.  I stamped "July VACATION" using two stamps from the WELL PLANNED stamp set on a small piece of white cardstock, rounded the corners and popped it in the lower right.

For the second card, I followed the same steps except that I offset the white oval underneath a bit and placed the sentiment at an angle.

Inside both cards I added "so READY" from the same WELL PLANNED stamp set in VersaFine Onyx Black and one of the red glittery stars that popped out when I die cut the STARLIT BREEZE.

I hope you've had a chance to look at the new 2016 Holiday Release from Memory Box.  It really is Christmas in July!!!  Be sure to watch the Outside the Box blog starting tomorrow on the 5th through the 11th twice a day when Design Team members will showcase ideas for using the newest dies, stencils, and stamps.  I can't wait!!!

Happy Crafting!

Great work Anne.

You know I really liked the plane die but wasn't sure what to do with it. You have inspired me because this is an awesome card. So whimsical. :)

Anne, what a neat card! I love it! Thanks
