Watercolor Happiness
by Penny

Happiness

Hello Memory Box fans. Penny here today with a super simple card that you can recreate in minutes.

Do you remove all the tiny pieces from your die cuts? Sometimes I just go with how the paper comes out of the metal die. In this case you can see I was left with quite a few tiny pieces still intact. And I Love it!!!

Let me show you how:

Happiness2

Start with an A2 size of watercolor paper. In this sample I used Shimmerz Creameez Boogie Boardin' Blue and Luck O' the Irish paints. Get your paper wet with clear water on half of the panel and start plopping in color and let it bleed. The hard part is waiting for it to dry.

Die cut Blooming Chrysanthemum from white card stock. ( Leave small pieces intact, remove them...it's your card)

Die cut the tiny butterflies from this set in Aqua card stock.

Happiness3

Add a strip of Lime Green card stock behind the left side of watercolor paper and trim to size. Adhere flower die cut using glue just along the stems.

Wrap card front with Lime Burlap String and tie a triple bow.

Stamp Seeds of Happiness on to Vellum (Mask off part of sentiment you won't be using with scotch tape before inking).

Add tiny butterflies as shown.

It is watercolor month here at Outside the Box, so be sure to enter our challenge HERE.

Happy Crafting,

Stunning card! I like the idea of not removing all of the die cut. Looks great & adds more interest. The colors you chose are eye catching. Good job.

Beautiful card! I love the look of the flowers with some of the pieces left intact. I normally would poke them all out!

This is beautiful Penny! I try to piece EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. BACK. IN!!! I won't anymore! This is fantastic!

Great card. If I left bits in, they'd fall out! It looks good though when you do it.
