Thanks a Melon by Donna
Good morning everyone!
Today I have a quick and easy card for you featuring a new stamp set from the May 2016 release. The watermelon image reminds me of summer parties, and this card would be a perfect thank you for those occasions.
To make this card, stamp the watermelon images on watercolor paper. I use Versafine Onyx Black ink for my stamping because once it is dry it will be permanent when you apply the watercolors. Any permanent black ink will do. Once the images are painted, die cut them with the coordinating dies.
The card front is a watercolor layer which has been painted and spattered. Glue the die cut images to the prepared card front. Stamp and emboss the sentiment on a strip of Licorice cardstock. Attach this underneath the watermelon images. Tie jute around the top of the card and glue this to a piece of striped cardstock and using foam adhesive glue this to a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you have a great weekend!
This is beautiful - I have not made a watermelon card in awhile - tfs
