Coffee Filter Flowers
by Penny

Paper-Flowers

Hey there Memory Box friends. Penny here today with some very simple flowers and clean lines. I have decided I am obsessed with the color Teal and just can't get enough of it. What is your go to color for now? Just change out the color on the flowers and a different washi tape for this card to make it your own.

Here we go:

Paper-Flowers2

Start with a White card base, add a large strip of Black card stock along the left side. Add a bit of washi tape.

Die cut Swirling Stitches as shown and stamp Hope sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

Paper-Flowers3

For the fun part..... Die cut the Plush Gardenia three times from a coffee filter. For my card I used the largest of each flower die giving me a total of six petals. Scrunch three of the smallest "petals" into a ball and roll it in a bit of watercolor. (you want a lot of white showing, so only roll it in paint lightly).

Let dry and uncurl.

Scrunch the remaining three largest petals and spritz with water. Let dry, then uncurl.

Add small painted petal to large white petal and adhere to card front. Die cut Botanical Stems from Coffee Filter and tuck beneath flowers.

Add Glossy White, Dandelion and Caribbean Ocean Crystal Drops as desired.

I love using things around the house on my cards...do you?  I could use some new ideas, so I would love to see what you are creating on our Facebook page. Click HERE to show us what you are making.

Happy Crafting,

Pennysignature

These are so pretty. I used to make coffee filter flowers but haven't lately. Thank you for the reminder! I'm also into the aqua/turquoise/teal colour family right now.

Wow - so beautiful - the flowers are so lovely and the embellishments added to them just make this card SING!!!

Beautiful, love the softness the coffee filters give!
