Why wait for fall to use the beautiful Blooming Chrysanthemum? Let it be the key element of a graduation or bon voyage card in bright yellow glitter. The die even includes its own trio of two butterflies and a dragonfly. Hi, happy midweek, Jean Okimoto here with a quick and sparkly design for you.
Diecut Blooming Chrysanthemum from white cardstock and keep the negative too. Keep that tiny "upside-down-wedge" piece between the bottom two blossoms too. Attach Scor-tape behind the negative. Place the delicate diecut and the little wedge into the negative. Use the tape liner as a "presscloth" to press the pieces onto the adhesive-covered background. Brush yellow glitter onto the exposed adhesive. Attach a scrap of white cardstock behind the glittered area to make the bright yellow stand out against the white cardstock. Trim it to 3" x 5-⅜".
Cut three butterflies from glittered green cardstock (the die set incudes two butterflies and a dragonfly).
Cut Grosgrain Ribbon from gray, yellow and green cardstock - leave the cardstock in the dies and dry-emboss each strip for added texture.
Stamp Follow Your Bliss on yellow cardstock with Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle and dry the ink. Cut it with the smallest Pinpoint Rectangle Layer.
Attach everything to a top-folded 5.5" square card of green cardstock - use foamdots for the greeting. Attach clear sequins.
Quick, easy and very glittery...hope you like it!
Special thanks to everyone who took last weekend's THANKS A LOT class at Impress. Hope the techniques inspire you to create more class cards later to build a stash of thank-yous that will be ready for any occasion.
Thanks for stopping by!
