Tiny Turtles by Penny
Hello Memory Box friends. Penny here today with some watercolor using new goodies just released. I do believe Mr. Memory Box intended for this die to be a tree branch inside an oval, yet when I looked at it, it appears to be something you would find under the water in a lake. I guess that is why my turtles are drawn to it. :)
Let's create this card:
Start with a piece of watercolor paper 4.25 x 5.50 inches. For my card I used Shimmerz Creameez in Boogie Boardin' Blue, Luck O' the Irish and Shimmerz Ultra Marine. It is just a matter of getting portions of your paper wet, then dropping in 3 different colors and let them blend together.
Graceful Branch Oval was die cut from White card stock and trimmed a bit so a portion of the watercolor paper is exposed along the left side. Stamp Time to Appreciate sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
On scrap of watercolor paper, sprinkle Lindys Magicals Rusty Lantern Lime and Steampunk Sepia, spritz with water and watch the magic happen. Let dry and die cut Tiny Turtles and Seaside Treasures.
Add turtles as shown and a pretty ribbon along the side. Adhere a bow made from Natural Jute and watercolored shells.
This would make a wonderful "manly" card and with Father's Day just around the corner, all you need to do is change the sentiment.
Show us what you are making with all the new dies featuring the Sea on our Facebook page.
Happy Crafting,
Awesome, just awesome!
