Whirling Butterflies
by Shelby Thomas

Good morning Memory Box fans!  I have an easy peasy card (I promise) for you today.  I love when the dies are meant to be used for the entire front of an A2 card.  It makes designs easy and production even easier

The Whirling Butterflies fits perfectly on the front of an A2 card.  One die cut and voila, almost a completed card.  I was practicing using less water with my watercolor paints to work on my control and blending of colors and actually liked how this panel turned out.  I die cut the panel and then trimmed to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" and added a light blue layering cardstock to the back of the panel. The panel was then mounted on the A2 card base with foam tape.

I opened all the butterflies (the butterflies are meant to stay in the paper) though it looked great when only a portion of the butterflies were open.  If you use watercolor paper, I would recommend using a tool to open the butterflies before adhering the panel.  It just makes manipulating the paper a little easier to get to the wings.  I used small dots of wet adhesive on the backside near the butterflies so the watercolor paper would bend and distort the shape of the card.

The Butterfly kisses sentiment is from last year's Simple Pleasures exclusive and stamped in blue versafine ink.

Glad you could pop by for a visit today and hope the rest of your week is fantastic.
