A bright background of Peerless Watercolors creates a quick setting for the beautiful Silver Springs Butterfly die. It's quick, colorful and works for any occasion. Hi there, Jean Okimoto here today, with an easy design in bright spring pastels.
Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to textured white cardstock and cut Silver Springs Butterfly - save the negative. The attached layer adds a bit of instant dimension to the diecut, without any tedious gluing.
Place the negative over a strip of watercolor paper and use it as a guide to quickly paint the paper with Peerless Watercolors. Go ahead - make a mess, it's OK! Remove the template and add more water or color to create a loose, blobby background to contrast with the delicate diecut.
Dry and trim the background. Attach the diecut.
Attach Scor-Tape behind a scrap of Rose Gold mirror cardstock and cut the butterfly bodies from the Fairyland Butterflies set. Score, cut and fold an A-6 (4-⅝" x 6-¼") card of textured white cardstock. Attach pink, yellow and green sequins.
That's it! Why not make make a stash of these in your favorite colors? They're perfect for thank-yous, graduations, Mother's Day, birthdays - or any occasion or celebration.
BIG Thanks to storeowners Debbie and Gary and everyone who took my classes at Marietta's Rubber Stamp Fantasy last weekend! It was great seeing all of you again - and meeting some new friends too. Special thanks to Debbie for her great snacks and lunch - it kept us going throughout the day! (Not revealing how many of her yummy Hello Dolly bars I ate.) The weather was beautiful - perfect for the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Ponce City Market sidetrips too.
Thanks (lots of thanking here today) for stopping by - hope to see you again this evening!

You are so right. But I've got to wait for the die to come! I didn't see its potential until I saw your beautiful card.

Hi Jean, I loved seeing so many of your cards today! I particularly liked how you used a rainbow of Peerless watercolors on your butterfly card. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Jacky...Memory Box dies and Peerless Watercolors are a great combination! Great to hear about the Grand Calibur - it really is my favorite machine, and the plates don't warp and curl. I wouldn't be able to prep for classes without it!
