Hello - here's another watercolored butterfly card for you today - it's the richly-embossed Hovering Butterfly Frame. It's been a fabulous year for Memory Box butterfly dies - you'll love them! Jean Okimoto here this afternoon...let's get started.
Cut Hovering Butterfly Frame from watercolor paper. Paint it with light washes of Peerless Watercolors. Blend the neighboring colors about halfway between each different color to create a softly framed look. Dry the watercolors.
Watercoloring will soften the detailed embossing...not a problem. Just dry-emboss your diecut using the embossing plate, rubber embossing mat, base plate and process recommended by your machine's manufacturer. The intricate embossing will be better than ever. Here's the stacking sequence I used for my teal Grand Calibur.
Leave the diecut in the die. Daub Memento Luxe Wedding Dress pigment ink onto the open, embossed areas of the diecut - the Hovering Butterfly Frame multi-tasks as a stencil. Remove the diecut and heat-emboss it with Imagine Crafts' Iridescent Powder for sparkly highlights.
Attach it - at an angle - to an A-6 (4-⅝" x 6-¼") card of textured white cardstock. Print a birthday greeting on a labelmaker. Attach clear iridescent sequins.
Attach Scor-Tape behind Rose Gold mirror cardstock and diecut the butterfly bodes from the Fairyland Butterflies die set. Attach them to the three largest butterflies.
Thanks very much for stopping by - hope you're enjoying a beautiful spring weekend!
This is really pretty. I know I'd love to recieve it for my Birthday! :)
