Hey there Memory Box fans. Penny here today with a bit of nature. Needing a card for a man (and you know those are the hardest cards for me to make), this card came together so easily because Memory Box dies are so simple to pair together. With Father's Day just around the corner, it is time to get prepared. Those Tall Cattails are just stinkin' adorable and would perfect for any "manly" card.
So...Let's do this:
White card base inked with Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Distress inks. The script portion of Skywriting was inked and stamped along the edge for a little interest. Seeds of Happiness sentiment was stamped using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.
Tall Cattails were die cut from White card stock then colored with Copic markers and adhered to card front.
Wildflower Landscape was die cut from White card stock and colored with Copics. My colors were way too bright, so I colored over the whole thing again with a pale Green Copic marker giving the Wildflowers a muted, yet colorful look.
Wildflower Landscape was adhered to card front with two pieces of foam adhesive in the center giving it lots of dimension.
What have you been making with the new Collection of dies? We would love to see your artwork on our Facebook page here.
Happy Crafting,
Fabulous card and perfect for a male xx

Penny, great card! I love the cattails, and how you did the grass. Not sure if anyone else calls them this but I grew up calling the cattails, punks, that's what we called here where I'm from. I love to buy them at Halloween and plant them together with my mums. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

What a great card! I have the cattails but left the wildflowers. Now I have to go back... I know - shouldn't have dithered in the first place.

The Cattails are so realistic! Love how you put the card together, the CAS feel and the warm colours. Stunning card!
