Half a Dozen Eggs, Springtime Bunnies and Pasture Grass
by Jean Okimoto

Felt Springtime Bunnies, Pasture Grass and glittery eggs...Easter is almost here!  The beautiful Fragile Heart is just too pretty to go into post-Valentine storage -  let's decorate an Easter egg with it today.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here, let's get started...

Ink a 4" soft rubber brayer with Kaleidacolor Pastel and spritz the brayer with water.  Quickly roll the diluted inks onto smooth white cardstock.  Let the inks blend and airdry for a few minutes, then heat-set it with a dry iron on the cotton setting. Attach Scor-Tape to the inked surface and cut it with the 2.5" tall die from the Half a Dozen Eggs set.

Cut Fragile Heart from watercolor paper.  Cut a portion of the heart with the egg die.  Attach the diecut to the adhesive-covered egg.  Use the paper liner from the tape as a "presscloth" and firmly press the delicate diecut onto the egg.  Brush Impress Sparkle Glitter onto the remaining exposed adhesive.

Cut Pasture Grass from textured white cardstock using the grassy pattern and the matching wavy edge .  Place the wavy edge about ⅛" below the bottom of the grass border. It's a  great die set - the wavy edge lets you vary the width of the grassy border - and adds a cool wonky look to any design!

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to aqua, gray and pink felt and cut the bunny from Open Studio Springtime Bunnies Set.  The adhesive paper stabilizes the felt and keeps glues from saturating it too.  Attach adhesive paper to white felt and cut Blooming Border - then attach a pair of offset flowers behind each bunny for a cute little tail.

Attach everything to a side-folded A-2 card of textured white cardstock- trim a bit of the grass and place the gray bunny under the grass.  Attach tiny clear iridescent sequins - they'll sparkle AND secure some of the tall grass.  Multi-tasking sequins!

Hope you like the card...I think the gray bunny adds a bit of attitude, and keeps it from looking like a new baby card. What do you think?

Fun card! and you are right about adding the gray bunny.

Get use of the Fragile Heart die!!! Love the bunnies and the one with attitude too!!! =)
Thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks Cyndee...I tried it without him, and it was too-too sweet!

Thanks Lynn Gauthier! Fragile Heart and a bunny-with-attitude - a funny combination, but they seem to play well together.
