We've got squirrels everywhere! The other morning when I went out to fill the bird feeders, there were at least a dozen squirrels, some red, some gray, that skittered off in all directions. It must be late enough in the winter season here that they've forgotten where they hid the rest of the food they'd "squirreled" away. Or they've just given up looking for it and have decided that catered meals are the way to go.
My yard squirrels are the inspiration for today's ATC project which features two sets of dies -- BUSY SQUIRRELS No. 99394 and PLAYFUL SQUIRRELS No. 99382 -- and the "happy spring" stamp from the SPRINGTIME BUNNIES STAMP SET CL5169.
These little squirrels from the two die sets are the perfect size for ATCs. I used watercolor ATCs which are cut 2.5"x3.5" and applied green watercolor paints with a wet brush, splattering water droplets on top. A strip of Key Lime Distressed Dots paper added to the spring-time look I was going for. I cut some tiny leaves from that same paper (from the Busy Squirrels dies) and put one on each ATC along with an apple green brad. I stamped "happy spring" in Hero Arts Cup O' Joe brown ink and attached the little squirrels with glue dots.
They are the perfect size for use as tags or bookmarks, for little notes, or to tuck into an envelope with a letter.
Happy Crafting!
