Watercolored Billowing Flowers
by Shelby Thomas

Hello everyone.  We had a fun filled day of Memory Box dies at Simple Pleasures on Saturday.  Lots of wonderful creations by everyone.  One of the cards in the classes used the Billow Flower (small and large) dies.

We used the clean color II real brush markers to color up a piece of watercolor paper and then cut out the dies.  The wonderful thing is these pens are so easy to use that everyone was able to use the colors most appealing to them and no two cards were identical...whoohoo!  I think the pop of color against the textured white background and the white card base is just right.

The mini butterflies were cut from the same paper as the flowers and a separate piece of watercolor paper was colored green for the leaves.

When I was coming up with class ideas, I was playing around with different color combinations and how to arrange the leaves and how many leaves to use. I love to give people different ideas and ways of creating something different using the supplies available in class.

The mini butterflies again were cut from the same watercolored paper.  The front panel was adhered using foam tape which gives a some dimension to the card.

Thanks for popping by for a visit today!

love the pink ones

Love this card. What is the background?

Hi Susan, the background was done with a Sizzix embossing folder (I can't remember the name of them). Glad you enjoyed the card!

I think those turned out bright and beautiful!!
