Teatime Bunny by Laura
Are you ready for Valentine's Day yet? For my card today, I used colors that are more traditional for Valentine's Day, but you could just as easily change the colors and use the Bunny Tea Time stamps and dies year-round. I love getting more bang for my buck!
I started by cutting out the bunny die on white cardstock and then stamping my bunny on top with Black Memento ink. I did the same with the individual teacup. To color my bunny and cup, I used an assortment of Copic markers- C00, C1, and C3 (bunny), Y11 and Y14 (crown), RV10 and C00 (bunny ears and cheeks), R81 and R83 (jacket), R17 (small teacup and hearts on bigger teacup)
Here is a closer look at the pocket and coloring:
To finish the card, I added some faux ribbons cut from the Grosgrain Ribbons die and a heart from the Glorious Hearts die set.
To assemble everything, I added foam tape to the side of my heart to form a pocket and then added a teabag inside. If you wanted to add a teabag that could actually be used, you would have to choose a larger heart from the die set so that the pocket would be big enough for the teabag as well as the wrapper. The bunny also has foam tape behind him to pop him up on the card.
What a cute card...I'm so into the hearts...good thing since Valentine's Day is coming soon. (grin)
