Hey there Memory Box fans. Penny here today with one of my favorite cards to make...a Shaker card. Using this new Elliana Heart die makes this card super easy to pull together. No fun foam to cut, no gazillion pieces of foam adhesive to use, just a matter of die cutting the heart several times.
Let's Make a Card:
Start with a piece of watercolor paper and start dabbing on some pretty pink paint. (I have used Peerless Watercolors on this card, but any watercolors will work). I tried to keep the paints in a heart shape, but as you know, watercolors have a mind of their own, so I just went with it.
Die cut the Elliana Heart about six times, stack and adhere together. Put White sequins and beads on the watercolor panel and Red beads and glitter just below. (As you can see the Elliana Heart has a natural divider in the die cut making it easy to keep your shaker filler separated). :)
Adhere the Elliana Heart over the shaker filler. Die cut a small Grosgrain Ribbon and the banner from the Flying High set. Stamp sentiment and adhere both to card front, trimming as necessary.
Finish off card by adhering card front to a White base card.
Die cut the middle section of the Rylan Butterfly Stem so you can use the medium size butterfly as an embellishment. Color as desired and adhere to card front.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope this gets your mojo going into a Valentines frame of mind. We would love to see what you are making with the new Memory Box dies on our Facebook page.

I love your card. I've been working on mine and your inspiration is so helpful. Love the shaker with the divided sections. So clever. I, too, like making the die cuts thicker....TFS

Penny,
I love your card. The watercolor work is gorgeous. I do not see any instructions for cutting the acetate that keeps the beads inside the card.
