Blog Blitz - Day 2 Tranquil Watercolor
by Penny

Blog-blitz-010516

Hey crafty friends....Penny here this afternoon of Blog Blitz Day 2 using more new goodies from Memory Box. You can never go wrong with the Stitched Oval Layers dies, and you are going to absolutely love the new Rylan Butterfly Stem where you actually get four dies for the price of one... SCORE!

Shall we make a card?

Start with a piece of watercolor paper trimmed to 4.25 x 5.50 inches. Add a couple of different Blue watercolors (I use QOR Watercolors, but any kind will work). After it is dry, stamp Skywriting with Memento Desert Sand ink along the left edge. Wrap Natural Jute and tie bow.

Die cut a Medium size Stitched Oval from Watercolor paper. Adhere to card front with foam adhesive.

Die cut the next smallest Stitched Oval and watercolor with Red and Orange paints. Adhere to White oval when dry.

Die cut the new Pointed Leaf from White card stock and adhere to card front as shown.

Finish the card by diecutting the new Rylan Butterfly Stem from watercolor paper. I used the medium butterfly on this card. Paint with Red and Orange watercolors, let dry and adhere to card front.

I like to make cards and intentionally leave off a sentiment knowing I can add one quickly for whatever the occasion calls.

What is a Blog Blitz without a chance to win goodies?!?

How would you like to win the Pointed Leaf die?  Leave a comment on this blog post for your chance to win.  You have until Sunday, January 10th at 11:59 EST to enter.  One comment will be chosen at random to win the die.  Winners this week will be announced on the Outside the Box blog on Tuesday, January 12.  Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today. Make sure to come back tomorrow as we have new inspiration for you twice daily all week long.  :)
