Love - Simply Stated - with the Fragile Heart and Flicker Hearts
by Jean Okimoto

It's Day 3 of our January 2016 Collection blog blitz...here's a Valentine design introducing the beautiful Fragile Heart and the versatile Flicker Hearts.  Jean Okimoto here with a simple design in fuchsia, peach and gray - my favorite go-to colors right now.

I love how easy it is to mix, match and layer the great hearts in the collection.  They're perfect for wedding, anniversary and baby cards too.  Want a chance to win the Fragile Heart Die?  Add your comment to this post - and you could be a winner!  The entry deadline is 11:59 PM EST this Sunday, January 10th.

Cut watercolor paper with  the 2-½" x 3-½" Stitched Rectangle Layer.  Paint it with pink, peach and orange Peerless Watercolors and set it aside to dry.

Attach adhesive label paper to watercolor paper and cut Fragile Heart.  The adhesive paper backing adds a bit of dimension to the diecut - without having to glue the layers together.

Cut Flicker Hearts from dark pink glitter craft foam for a bright pop of color.

Stamp "LOVE" -  from the Open Studio Smile Clear Stamp Set - on gray cardstock with Radiant Neons Electric Pink and heat-set the ink.  Trim it with the smallest Stitched Rectangle Layer.

Attach everything to a Graphite Notecard - use foam dots for the greeting.  Attach clear iridescent sequins.

Hope you're enjoying our blitz of ideas and inspiration - and love the great new designs as much as we love sharing our ideas with you!

Thanks for stopping by...see you at this Saturday's  classes at the Tukwila Impress.  Two classes to start the year off...NEW from Memory Box and Love is Sweet.  The classes feature techniques, watercoloring and the latest, greatest new products from Memory Box, Open Studio and Poppystamps!

Beautiful heart die....I've been trying to get started on Valentine's Day cards, so this release comes at a perfect time. I spent all my mojo on Christmas and New Year's and needed a jump start....thanks so much.

Beautiful card, this fragile heart die would be perfect for weddings and anniversaries too.

The fragile heart die is just perfect. It goes so well with the peerless watercolors. I seem the have a weakness for heart stamps and dies and this goes on shopping list.
Thanks for sharing your talent.
