Hi Memory Box fans.....Penny here this afternoon showing off this really fun and versatile new Rylan Butterfly Stem die. Whether you add it to a card or do an inlay, it is sure to be the focal point of your creation. And those paper Grosgrain ribbons.....LOVE!
To achieve that gorgeous background, just start adding Squeezed Lemonade ink at the bottom of a White card stock panel that has been trimmed to 4.25 x 5.50 inches, followed by Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean at the top. Now flick a little water across the panel and let dry.
Die cut the Rylan Butterfly Stem and set aside. Die cut the Rylan Butterfly Stem again from White card stock. Fit the White die cut into the inked panel. Add a strip of Yellow card stock on the backside so the butterflies have a place to land.
Die cut the two smallest of the new Grosgrain Ribbons, ink with Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. Adhere to card front.
Stamp and heat emboss sentiment from the Birthday Bunnies stamp set onto Vellum, trim and adhere to card front as shown.
Die cut the tiny button from the Plush Flower Buttons set, add twine and a little bit of thread to Vellum sentiment.
So what to do with that left over gorgeously inked Rylan Butterfly???????????
You make another card of course:
Exact same layout, just a few changes.
Navy card stock has been altered by using Creative Medium Iridescent Blue with the Distressed Grid Stencil. Trim to about 3.75 x 5.50 inches.
Adhere to a Yellow card stock panel that has been embossed with a Provo Craft folder.
Adhere the Rylan Butterfly Stem that was left over from the first card.
Wrap with sheer ribbon and tie knot.
