Good morning and Hello again! Any time is a good time for butterflies, and I was in a butterfly type of mood yesterday. I pulled out the gorgeous Reverse Butterfly collage and some new water soluble oil pastels to create a water color effect on an A2 card
I scratched the oil pastel crayons on my craft mat and then diluted with water and did a wet to wet technique for a softer appearance of the colors. I spritzed the dried panel with Pearl Pearls for some shimmer which is so hard to capture on camera but looks perfectly shimmery in person. I die cut the Reverse Butterfly collage and then adhered to vellum to create a glass type of look
I cut the Cascadia Butterfly trio twice from vellum and used one of the "Hellos" from the Open Studio die set called Oh Hello Again. This particular die is great for shaping the word into a slight arc. I added a few crystals and glass beads to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to come back later for Lindsey wonderful Christmas card.
beautiful card Shelby - love the combo of the watercoloring and die cutting!
