Festive Place-cards by Penny
Holiday gatherings are just around the corner .... where did the year go? Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are always at my home where I do all of the cleaning and everyone brings a dish. I like to set a festive table and these pretty place-cards will give our meal a little something, something. They also come in handy when the kids invite friends to join us and you can't remember everyone's name...just sayin'.
Oh so easy peasy Mr. Sneezy to make, so let's get started:
Die cut Largest Stitched Octagon from Kraft card stock. Score at 1 3/4 inches and 2 1/1 inches.
Stamp one side with Maple Leaf Sunset stamp using Memento markers to color. Make sure you line the stamp up so most of the "Sunset" remains above the score line.
Write name in the "Sunset" area with Black Fine tip marker.
Die cut Autumn Border, snip leaves and color with markers. Glue to top inside of place card. Bring back of the place card to meet the front and adhere together.
Add sequins as desired.
For the Christmasy place-card, I used the steps as above with the exception of inking the Large Octagon with Aquas and Purples instead of using Kraft card stock.
On the tiny tree die cuts from the Moose Crossing set, I inked them to match the Octagon, then added a tiny bit of White Amplify! to the branches, and puffed them with a heat gun. I love flocked trees!
Name was written with a White Gel Pen and Sparkling Clear sequins were added.
We would love to see what your place-cards look like. Tag us on Facebook. :)
Hope you have a wonderful crafty day!
The shape of the place card is original and the colours and stamping are just perfect!
