Hello ....Penny here today with a super simple way to achieve a watercolor look. Watercolor is all the rage in card making land and I have found a way to participate. I was not blessed with an artistic hand, so using a Misti stamping tool makes watercoloring for someone like me easy peasy Mr. Sneezy.
Let's make a card:
Cut watercolor paper 4 x 5.25 inches. Using a Misti stamping tool, position Maple Leaf Sunset stamp as desired (I did not ink the "sunset" portion of the stamp). Color leaves with Memento markers, mist with water and stamp unto the watercolor paper. Color the leaves again with a different marker for variations in the leaves, mist with water and stamp again.
With a wet paint brush, touch the edges of the stamped images and squiggle your paintbrush outwards pulling some color with it. (To darken the color, place a little bit of marker ink onto craft sheet. Pick up color with a wet paintbrush and add it to the edge of your stamped image). Flick paint splatter across this panel. Let dry.
Using the Dashing Through The Snow die, make a curved edge in the watercolor panel.
On the small bottom watercolor portion, add water across the whole panel. Using Memento marker add "paint" to this panel pretty heavily and hold paper vertical so the ink runs to the bottom. Let dry. Stamp sentiment with VersaFine Spanish Moss ink.
Cut Olive Green card stock to 4.25 x 11 inches and fold in half. Add watercolor panel at top with foam adhesive. Add sentiment at bottom with favorite glue. (This should leave a small section between the two panels). Add Sparkling Clear sequins as desired.
Thanks so much for swinging by today. I hope you found inspiration in my card and have a wonderful crafty day,
beautiful - love the colors you used and the flowing design is is perfect with the leaves.
