Hey there...looking for a few more ways to use your favorite Halloween designs now that your cards are on their way? Jean Okimoto here today, with a trio of treat packs and a quick diecut candle wrap for you.
Cut Spidery Web Collage from vellum and stamp a few of the Halloween Sideshow spiders with Brilliance Graphite Black. Yes, Brilliance inks dry on vellum! Color the spiders' bodies with a black Sharpie. Set it aside to dry while you create your treat packages.
Cut 2.75" x 8.5" strips of Key Lime, Mango and Licorice Distressed Dots. Score them at 4" and 4.5" - then stamp the Key Lime and Mango strips with Skywriting and VersaFine Onyx Black. Stamp the spiders too - then color the bodies with a Sharpie. Round the corners.
Diecut Swirling Ghosts from white cardstock and attach black cardstock scraps behind them for the eyes. Cut the Wide Open Spaces cityscape from black cardstock. Cut Jolly Jack O Lanterns from bright orange cardstock.
Pack Hershey snack-siz candies in little polybags (about 2" x 2-⅝"). Place the polybag over the folded tags and punch a ¼" hole at the top. Place the bag between the layers of the tag and tie everything together with 3" wide strips of tulle.
Trim the vellum to fit around a battery-operated candle, with a ½" overlap. Overlap and tape the ends together in the back.
Have fun with these projects - you'll have the most popular Halloween treats in your neighborhood!
Thanks for stopping by...see you in the Sweet Thoughts class at the Tukwila Impress on October 31st. We'll be making cake and sweet-themed cards for celebrations and everyday greetings. The class is from 10:30-12:30 - you'll be home in plenty of time for Hallloween!
I love these Jean...you've inspired me!
