Seeds of Happiness and the Blooming Leaf Border
by Jean Okimoto

MemoryBoxBloomingLeafBorder-MemoryBoxSeedsOfHappiness-OpenStudioStitchedSquareLayers-JeanOkimoto-ImagineCrafts-MementoInkpads-VersaFine-ImpreccCardsAndCraftsHappy Halloween to everyone from Memory Box!  Holidays always make me realize how fast the year has gone by - especially Halloween.  Jean Okimoto here today with a colorful fall design for you.

The versatile Blooming Leaf Border is great for Thanksgiving and autumn birthday cards.  You can carefully color each delicate detail...or simply (and quickly!) daub it with Memento dye inks and highlight a few of the berries, seedpods and leaves.

I love the soft watercolored look...without watercoloring.  Just daub Memento Dandelion, Morocco, Tangelo and Bamboo Leaves dye inks over a stamped, embossed Blooming Leaf Border on watercolor paper.

Press the Morocco inkpad onto an acrylic stamp block to transfer some of that rich dark coppery orange ink.  Use a waterbrush to lightly tint the berries and seedpods and several of the leaves with Morocco. P1280388

Add the great seasonal greeting and some sequins - and that's it.  Please visit our Ideas Gallery for details, supply lists and more card designs.

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your weekend!
