Hello Memory Box lovers.....Penny Ward here today with my first official post as a member of the design team. The secret is finally out!
I come to you from beautiful Lake Placid, Florida where my husband and I live just down the street from our two small grandsons (isn't that convenient). I have two sons and a beautiful Daughter in Love.
I have been making cards for about five years and totally loving my obsession job. Die cutting is a must have on most any card and I am beyond thrilled to be working with such a quality company as Memory Box.
I hope you find inspiration in my creation today as we kick off the Winter 2015 Blog Blitz with brand new products. Join us often October 5- October 9 for a look at the new products as well as chances to win prizes.
Metallics are all the rage this holiday season and they are so easy to achieve.
Let's make a card:
- Cut White card stock to 4.25 x 11 inches, fold in half for a base card. Ink long edges with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.
- Cut watercolor paper to 4 x 5.25 inches. Add Blue watercolors in the upper left portion of this panel, squiggle your way down towards the center. Do this several times with different blue watercolors until you are happy. Flick some Blue paint and Delicata Golden Glitz across this panel. Run edges of this panel along the Golden Glitz ink pad. Adhere to base card with foam adhesive.
- Die cut Jolly Holly Branches two times, ink with Delicata Golden Glitz ink, let dry. Adhere to card front as shown applying glue to the stems of the branches.
- Die cut Pitelli Ornament two times, stack and adhere together. Ink with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. Adhere to card front.
- Add Gold bow.
Would you like to win the Holly Jolly Branches die? Leave a comment on this blog post by Sunday, October 11 (11:59 pm EST) for your chance to win. A winner will be selected at random from the comments to win the die. Don't forget to visit the Outside the Box blog often during the blitz for more inspiration and more chances to win some of the new products. Good luck.
Hope you have a wonderful crafty day!
love this card.
I have to start doing my Xmas cards but I have no inspiration.
I will return here and look for some ideas.

Oh, this is a beautiful, stunning card! I was just surfing around and landed here (what luck!) The card is so striking to me because it features my favorite colors: midnight to navy blue in combo with GOLD (thank you!), dies cuts beautifully arranged and a card simply stated. I love it! Thanks for sharing this, making me smile, and giving me something to aspire to in my own card making.

This is sooo pretty and I love the metallic look and try to add it to some of my own cards too for the moment, and hopefully I can make some as beautiful as this.
