Thank You Card
by Donna Sledzik

Hello everyone!

Today I have a Thank You Card that features one of the  Open Studio Dies called Many Thanks.  I combined this with the clear set called Smile and two older dies: Cosenza Tree Border Outline and Cosenza Tree Border Background.

  • To create this card first die cut the word "thank" from white cardstock and placed that on your card front to get an idea of where you would like to stamp the word "you."
  • Place the sentiment from the Smile stamp set onto a clear block. Using a post-it-note, mask off the part of the sentiment you do not want to use.
  • Ink the word you with Versa Ink and remove the post-it-note and stamp the word onto your card.  Sprinkle with White embossing powder and heat set.
  • Paint the card background using watercolors. The embossed image will resist the paint. Once it's dry, spatter the background with paint.
  • Die cut the tree border from cork paper.  The tree background was die cut from a previously painted scrap of paper. (I do save my paper scraps from other projects.)
  • Adhere the cork die cut to the tree backgrounds.  (I only used three of the trees from the die cut.  The other trees went into the envelope I keep my die in for another project.)
  • Assemble your card as shown.

I hope you all enjoyed today's card! Thanks for stopping by!

Love your card - great background!
