Hello All,
I am writing to you today from San Diego where we are in the middle of a major heat wave. So I had to make a snowy card just to try to cool off a little!
I started off with some watercolor paper and played with the Color Burst Ultramarine Blue and Indigo colors and some water....boy is that stuff fun to color with or what!!! After I dried the paper with a heat tool (I am too impatient to just wait for it to dry on its own) I ran the piece through my die cutting machine with the Snowy Scene die!
Oh my how I love this die! You get the fabulous background plus all the snowflakes that are cut out that you can then use on the card and on your envelope that you are mailing as a little extra bonus to the person getting the card!
I then adhered the background to a white card base and added a few of those snowflakes here and there. The of course I put bling in the middle of each snowflake...you can't have snowflakes without sparkle right? I really like the end result, what do you think?
Your card is lovely and very "cooling"! I am waiting for my second set of ColorBursts and them am definitely going to try this! Thanks so much for sharing!!
