Snow Globes

How many dies does it take to make a snow globe?  With so many wonderful new dies from Memory Box, I got a bit carried away.

I started with SNOW GLOBE BASES #30066 cut in several sizes from a number of different cardstock papers.  The STITCHED SNOWFLAKE CIRCLE FRAME die no. 99273 from white cardstock layered over a circle cut from STUDIO CIRCLE LAYERS #30016 in one of the Memory Box Patterned Papers made the perfect globe.  The card below uses the largest Snow Globe Base.

Of course, I had to tack on some holiday greenery and ribbons to spruce things up:  BLISSFUL BUNDLE die no. 99235; HOLLY FLOURISH die no. 99178; and CURLED RIBBONS die no. 98936.  A few pearls and red glittery gems added the extra sparkle and shine I was looking for.

And, of course, I couldn't make just one!  I tried several different sizes of the Snow Globe Bases, and I think I like the smaller size on the two cards on the right below.  I pop-dotted each of the bases which also makes for more dimension and secured the Blissful Bundle and Holly Flourish just in their centers for even more dimension and movement.

Do I need to add more snowflakes in each snow globe?  These additional dies might be the perfect ones:  TWILIGHT SNOWFLAKES die no. 99277; SHIMMERING SNOWFLAKES die no. 99274; and PRECIOUS SNOWFLAKES die no. 98729.

This is one of my Christmas cards that I'll be teaching in a class next Monday.  It also fits in with this month's challenge theme of Cool Thoughts for Warm Days.  Have you posted your card yet???

Happy Crafting!

I just love the soft blues and this delicate greenery! Anne, your cards are adorable!

Wow, Anne, I just LOVE this pretty snow globe card! These colors are beautiful!

These are very pretty Anne... and I'm so glad I've been able to see just how gorgeous these die cuts really are :)

they are all so lovely, I just love how you did the greenery with it!

Anne, I wonder if you could help me. I have Memory Box die 99211 Angel Wings Butterfly. What is the best sandwich to use with a Big Shot to get the embossing to show up? I have tried different ways but just can't get it done.
