Snowdrift Collage Die
Greetings everyone. I will be posting both days this weekend, and I have definitely been in a Christmas frame of mind. I hope you don't mind the holiday focus.
For today's card, I wanted to use one of the edging dies from the Distressed Snowdrift Collage die set. I tend to get more questions about these dies more than anything else. I think people might have trouble picturing how they look when cut.
I have to say, the absolute best thing about the Distressed Snowdrift Collage set as well as the other edging dies that Memory Box makes is that the dies are so easy to use. The dies are intricate and detailed, but you don't have to adhere the die pieces to the card. Rather, you cut out a design from your paper and then layer a second color of paper underneath. Here is a close up:
I taped the snowflake die on the left to dark blue cardstock with repositionable tape and ran it through my die cutting machine. That left me with snowflake holes in my blue paper. I then put a white piece of cardstock underneath that showed through the snowflake holes. Easy! There was no gluing of small snowflake pieces.
On the right hand side, I used the Alpine Snowflake die. I hope you will come back Sunday when I show you another Christmas card.
Very pretty....I've been eyeing the collage dies...very intiguing.
