Shimmering Snowflakes on the Holiday Blog Blitz

It's the midpoint of our 2015 Holiday Blog Blitz and we love sharing our newest dies - and ideas -with you.  Hope you've been inspired to get started on your holiday cards with these great new designs.    Jean Okimoto here - with a sparkly Shimmering Snowflakes design for you.

Memory Box Products

  • NEW Sketchbook Joy Die 99242
  • NEW Open Studio Pinpoint Rectangle Layers
  • Violet Notecard

Imagine Crafts Products

  • Memento Grape Jelly Inkpad
  • Delicata Golden Glitz Inkpad

Spritz watercolor paper with water and brush several shades of teal, blue and purple Peerless Watercolors onto the damp paper.  Air-dry it.  Press the Golden Glitz Inkpad onto an acrylic block and spritz it with water.  Press the diluted ink onto the watercolor paper.  Dry the ink.

Diecut it with two of the Pinpoint Rectangle Layers.  Ink the edges of the rectangles with Grape Jelly.  Diecut two sets of Shimmering Snowflakes from watercolor paper.  Layer them - slightly offset for dimension - and attach them to the background.

Cut "joy" from gold mirror cardstock.  Assemble the card and add opalescent purple sequins.

Want a chance to win the Shimmering Snowflakes Set?  Just add a quick comment to my post - and you'll be entered for a drawing.  It's a great, classic design you'll be able to use throughout the holidays  - and for after-Christmas thank you cards too!

Be sure to add your comments to each designer's post throughout the blitz - from July 13th thru July 17th.  The entry deadline is 11:59 PM EST on Sunday July 19th.
