Steampunk Pipes Tag

FullSizeRender (32)

Hi everyone!

Today I have a tag which features the new Steampunk Pipes Die.  I die cut the pipes several times from Black cardstock.  Then I glued them to a Black shipping tag.  Once you have them all glued in place, paint the entire tag using Black acrylic paint.

When the Black paint was dry, I sponged several colors of Distress Paint on the tag.  I blended the colors with my fingers.  Dry the paint with a heat tool.  Lightly rub over the tag with Black Soot Distress Ink Pad.  Mist lightly with water.  While the tag is still wet, sprinkle lightly with Rust embossing powder.  Heat the tag with a heat tool to melt the embossing powder and to dry the tag.

Cut a piece of watercolor paper using the Postage Set Die.  I die cut a rectangle in the middle of the medium size postage piece.  This gives you a frame for our watercolor piece. Cut the frame to the size you want.  Ink the frame with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and sprinkle lightly with Rust embossing powder.  Heat to melt the powder. I used Ken Oliver's  Color Burst Pigments to watercolor the rectangle die cut.  Spray the watercolor paper with water.  Tap a little bit of the pigments onto the wet paper.  These powders are highly pigmented, only a tiny bit is needed.  Mist paper lightly to further blend the colors.  Dry with a heat tool.  Ink the edges with Vintage Photo Ink.

Adhere the prepared frame to the dry watercolor piece and glue this to the tag.

Die cut the Beautiful Balloon from watercolor paper.  Color balloon using the Color Burst Pigments. I put a little pigment in a palette and used a paintbrush and water to apply the color.  The Kaleidoscope Butterfly and Antique Gears were cut from Black cardstock.   The gears were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and embossed with Rust embossing powder.

Stamp the "Not Knowing"  sentiment on cardstock and cut the saying apart.  Ink all the edges with Vintage Photo Ink.  I dyed the ribbon using the Color Burst Pigments. Assemble tag as shown.
