Wondering what to do with the cool new Open Studio Geo Fragments Set? Here's an idea for you - cut a trio of butterflies and float them over a black background. Add a quick HELLO - that's it. Jean Okimoto here today with a bright-and-white card for you. I love how the Radiant Neons make the Geo Fragments pop and just about bounce off the card!
- NEW Open Studio Geo Fragments Die Set 30054
- Open Studio Oh Hello Again Die Set 30010
- Fairyland Butterflies Die Set 99078 (used the antennae)
- Floating Butterflies Background Die 98991
- Floating Butterflies Die 98978
- Radiant Neons Inkpads - Electric Blue, Electric Green, Electric Purple
- Daubers
Cut the solid Floating Butterflies Background from white cardstock and black cardstock. Cut the detailed Floating Butterflies from black cardstock. Attach Scor-Tape behind a scrap of black cardstock and cut the three antennae from the Fairyland Butterflies set
Refer to the detailed Floating Butterflies diecut to determine the location of the overlapping wingtips. Daub Electric Blue, Green and Purple inks onto the butterflies - use scraps of paper to mask the wingtip areas between the Blue and Purple and the Purple and Green.
Cut each butterfly with the Geo Fragments, then attach the inked butterflies to the black background. Attach it to a 5" square card of textured white cardstock. Attach the antennae and green, blue, lavender and clear sequins.
Cut HELLO from smooth white cardstock - save the little piece in the center of the "O." Back the diecut with black cardstock and attach the little piece.
Big THANKS to everyone who took the Greetings from Seattle classes at Impress. Hope you like the cards - and the versatility of the dies, stamps and stencils!
