Love the Bunnies
Greetings everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
I have really enjoyed the new Memory Box bunny stamps and thought I would take the chance to show you one of the cards I made with a bunny and some of the new postage dies/stencils.I like the postage dies because they add fun accents to cards that let you really focus on the "framed" image.
For my card, die cut my postage stamp, placed the postage stencil on top and stamped my bunny. I then watercolored the bunny with Peerless watercolors and then sponged Distress Inks around the outside of the bunny. To finish the card, I added a ledger background to the card and added a saying from Poppystamps.
Here is a close up of all the elements. You can see how combining the postage die and stencil give you a nicely framed edge.
Materials used:
Peerless Watercolors- Neutral tint Arbutis Pink, Burnt Umber, Sepia Brown
Inks- Black Versafine (to stamp the bunny), Distress Inks- Stormy Sky, Antique Linen
Stamps:
Nathaniel Bunny C2034
Articles Ledger (CS2211J)
Saying from Popyystamps Clear Set Into the Words CL403
Dies:
Postage Set 99131
Stencil:
Postage Set 88605
Lovely card, Laura. Love your water colouring :)
