Greetings everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
I have really enjoyed the new Memory Box bunny stamps and thought I would take the chance to show you one of the cards I made with a bunny and some of the new postage dies/stencils.I like the postage dies because they add fun accents to cards that let you really focus on the "framed" image.
For my card, die cut my postage stamp, placed the postage stencil on top and stamped my bunny. I then watercolored the bunny with Peerless watercolors and then sponged Distress Inks around the outside of the bunny. To finish the card, I added a ledger background to the card and added a saying from Poppystamps.
Here is a close up of all the elements. You can see how combining the postage die and stencil give you a nicely framed edge.
Materials used:
Peerless Watercolors- Neutral tint Arbutis Pink, Burnt Umber, Sepia Brown
Inks- Black Versafine (to stamp the bunny), Distress Inks- Stormy Sky, Antique Linen
Stamps:
Nathaniel Bunny C2034
Articles Ledger (CS2211J)
Saying from Popyystamps Clear Set Into the Words CL403
We have had a lot of questions about Kay Miller's dress card from the Look Book. Many people have asked if the the flowers at the bottom of the dress were hand painted. They are actually from a stamp called Blooming Sketch Border (F2037) that was clear embossed and then watercolored. Really gorgeous effect, wasn't it?
For today's card I created a color block pattern using the Postage Assemblage Stencil. Sponge various colors of distress ink through different size rectangles of the stencil. Once the blocks are colored, simply place various texture stencils over each rectangle and remove color using a baby wipe. This gives you a batik effect on each block. Water down one color of distress ink and spatter the background. Stamp your sentiment and you're done.

I hope you enjoyed today's card, and have a great week end!
Good Morning, Happy Thursday everyone. Marnie here today and I have a semi-Happy household since school is almost out and the countdown has begun. The "Semi" is because there are still some Finals to be taken but otherwise we are in the home stretch.
Thank you all for taking time out of your busy days to check out the blog. Be sure to take a look at the latest Memory Box Look Book with amazing samples from the current release as well as all of the blog posts of wonderful inspiration. Have a GREAT DAY!
Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start.
I'm always running short on masculine cards so I'm making a more concerted effort to build my stash.
This A2 card was made with several Memory Box products. I cut the dieGrand Happy Birthday Script into the patterned paper and then cut it again with the brown cardstock for the "Birthday" and parts of the "Happy". I inlaid the brown cardstock pieces into the patterned paper so the wording stood out more.
In the corners I used the Gearworks Border(die cut twice) and then snipped sections apart to create the corner pieces.
The background was created uses the new stencil called Shimmer in varying coordinating colored inks, and the edges were inked with Distress Ink Antique Linen.
Thanks for visiting today and don't forget about all of the men in your life, and they really do love getting cards even if they don't understand our crafting hobby/obsession/hoard:)
Hello and welcome back to the Memory Box Design Team blog!
Today's card features two new dies, (Sunrise Poppy and Postage Assemblage) a sentiment from that fantastic new PoppyStamps clear stamp set Hope and Thanks, and some more of the retired Sprout 6x6 patterned paper that I've been hoarding.
Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today and I wanted to share with you something a bit different- the layouts that I did for my youngest son, both of them use Memory Box dies and I picked the white paper for that, so they can really pop out more.
Lots of fussy cutting from the papers and the elegant dies just suit this album perfectly
I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend. Since this is the unofficial start of the summer season, I thought I would create a summer theme card for you.
I used the new Postage Set Die to cut a muslin layer and a watercolor paper layer for my card. Using the Postage Set Stencil, I placed the stencil over the watercolor paper and inked with Broken China Distress Ink through the stencil. Keeping the stencil in place mist lightly with water. Die cut the Swimming Seahorses, Seaside Treasures and a rectangle layer from watercolor paper and color using various distress inks. Using gold metallic paper, die cut the Sketchy Rings. Once your card is assembled, stamp the word Celebrate and emboss with gold embossing powder.

Hello...hope your holiday weekend is off to a great start! Jean Okimoto here today with a design featuring our new Postage Set Die and Postage Set Designer Stencil. There are so many ways to use this great combination - here's just one of them...
Stencil the Brilliance inks onto white cardstock with the Postage Set Designer Stencil. Remove the stencil and clean it. Dry the inks . Replace the stencil and stamp Articles Ledger over it - at an angle - with Bamboo Leaves. Cut it with the Postage Set Die.
Cut the Blooming Lotus from pink vellum and Sugar Plum (keep the center portion) . Assemble the flower and trim the left side. Stamp the greeting on Cherry Blossom with Olive Grove and emboss it with detail clear powder.
Attach the pieces to a Bubblegum Notecard - use foam dots for the greeting. Attach pale green opalescent sequins. Coordinate the card with a matching Bubblegum Envelope.

Here are two patriotic cards that Therese from my store is teaching at The Stamp Addict on Tuesday June 9th. If you want to get your red, white and blue on and come take a fun class be sure to give us a call to reserve your seat!
I hope you like the cards as much as I did! I loved her use of the Postage Assemblage dies as stripes on the flag...very creative don't you think?! Then the use of the Starry Night Background die as an element on one card and using the stars for the other card....versatility and no waste! I never would have thought of using the Ferrand Heart die in a patriotic card but I love the simplicity of layering the white on the red and blue background....just beautiful! I hope to see you in class!
