Pennington Rose Pink Postage

Good Afternoon, Marnie here with a pretty glittery floral card, perfect for Mother's Day or for a Special Birthday whatever you may need coming up.  I have used the new Pennington Rose Blossoms 99147 layered light pink on top of dark pink on the Perfect Patch Strip 99166 I cut some small squares of the Moroccan patterned paper to go into the squares this made the flowers pop more and then I added glitter to the flowers.  To complete the card I layered the squares onto the  Postage Set 99131 (just the small square corner) and the Postage Strip 99168 (just the border strip).  I love how the 2 layers of flowers pop off the squares.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a Wonderful Monday!

Nathaniel Bunny Card

FullSizeRender (19)

Hi Everyone!

I hope you're having a great weekend.  We are finally getting some warm temperatures here in New England and it finally feels like spring.

For my card today I used some new stamps from the Spring Release. For the card background I inked the Pensive Alphabet with Orange, Pink and Purple Distress Inks and misted the stamp with water. I then stamped it onto water color paper. When the paper was dry I inked the Articles Ledger Stamp with Brown Distress Ink and stamped over the Alphabet image.

Nathaniel Bunny was stamped with Black Ink and water colored using Distress Inks. I drew a balloon for Nathaniel to hold. Spatter the card background and the bunny image with various colors of  Distress Inks.  The Tag Frame was die cut from Jack O Lantern Cardstock, using the Open Studio Tag You're It Rectangles.  The sentiment was from the Poppystamps Clear set called Into the Words.

They're classic designs, perfect for cards, layouts, home decor, fabric arts, mixed media and collages.  They're perfectly-proportioned for A2 cards - but are easily trimmed and great for layering.  You'll see a lot of them here, and in my classes.

Follow Your Bliss - It's a Blooming Sketch Border Bird

MemoryBoxFollowYourBliss-MemoryBoxBloomingSketchBorder-OpenStudioBirdsOfAFeather-MemoryBoxStitchedRectangleLayers-JeanOkimoto-ImagineCraftsHave you enjoyed our Spring Blitz?  Be sure to comment on each designer's post from April 13th thru the 17th for your chance to win one of the great new products featured on each card.  The entry deadline is 11:59 PM EST on April 19th.  Lucky winners will be announced on April 20th.

There are so many wonderful designs in the Spring Release - it's hard to pick just one favorite.  Jean Okimoto here,  with a card featuring three must-haves - the Blooming Sketch Border and Follow Your Bliss stamps and the Open Studio Birds of a Feather Die Set.  Here's just one of many designs you can create with this brand-new trio.

The Open Studio Layers sets include a magnetic storage sheet to keep everything together, neat and tidy.  I use my layering dies so often I store them on metal curtain hooks like the one shown above.  You can find them at fabric stores and wherever shower curtains are sold.  They're much easier to open than some binder rings.  I've saved my magnetic sheet to use when I finally put my dies away for a rest - but that won't be anytime soon.

Final Post of the Blitz

I really hope that you have enjoyed the blitz this week.  Don't forget that you have until Sunday, April 19th at 11:59 EST to leave comments to our posts of the week for the chance to win prizes.  We will announce the winners on the Outside the Box blog next Monday.  Good luck!

For my card today, I used the new Postage Set die (99131) along with the coordinating Postage Set stencil (88606).  When you cut out the postage, you get rectangles that look like this:

The stencil coordinates with the die so that you can use it as a mask to create your postage.  In this picture, I didn't line things up perfectly, but I wanted to show you the dies with the stencil:

I sponged the rectangle I selected with Salty Ocean Distress Ink:

Next, I layered a second stencil on top (Dot Grid 88600) and sponged it with the same blue ink:

I stamped the Delicate Flight image (F2043) on top and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.  I like Prismacolor pencils because they are opaque and cover a lot of things underneath them:

To finish the card, I added a saying from the Words to Live By clear set (CL5154).

Would yo like to win the Delicate Flight stamp?  It is such a fun image to color.  Leave a comment on this post for your chance to win!

Butterfly Collage fun!

Hello everyone!

This is Jennifer from The Stamp Addict in San Diego. I hope you are enjoying this blog blitz with all the new Memory Box dies and stamps as much as I have, it has been so much fun seeing what everyone has made!  I couldn't wait to get my hands on these and have been having so much fun! Here is the first card I made using the Reverse Butterfly Collage die and the Open Studio Words To Live By stamp set!

I used some alcohol inks on glossy paper and stuck that on the inside face of the card so the colors showed through the diecut image of the butterflies! I added some bling and pearls to the butterflies and stamped the 'CREATE' and 'shine' in a rainbow ink pad that matched the colors used for the butterflies and voila a vibrant card ready for any occasion!

Comment on this post to be entered to win one of the Open Studio Words To Live By Stamp Sets...it is so versatile and fun!

Sunrise Poppy

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today, I am the third designer to post a new card from the Spring 2015 Collection.  This new collection has dozens of dies, stamps and stencils----time to go shopping!  Poppies are the state flower here in California so this is my flower homage featuring the gorgeous Sunrise Poppy.

Sunrise Poppy_Jenny Griffiths

I paired graphite and sky blue papers together with mango and meadow green papers for the flower---I love this color combination.  The poppy was die cut in green and mango, both were distress inked to add color variation and shading.  The flower pieces were easily pieced into their respective places once the green outline was adhered to the card.

For a fun and interesting element I die cut the Distressed Baptisia Collage into the upper left corner of the grey panel---the new collage dies are my absolute favorites in this collection and love how the layered paper shows through the cut openings.

I added some randomly placed sequins for a little pizzaz... now for the inside...

Sunrise Poppy Inside_Jenny Griffiths

Keeping it sweet and simple, I stamped the new sentiment Happiness onto a Stitched Rectangle Layer, inked the butterfly with Copic markers and added more sequins.

If you're the lucky winner from this post you will receive the Sunrise Poppy die.  How do you enter?  Just leave a comment on this post until Sunday, April 19 at 11:50 p.m. Eastern time.  Be sure to visit and comment on all the daily post this week during our blitz for lots of chances to win!  Winners will be posted here on Monday, April 20th.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the Blitz featuring this new collection---don't you love it?  See you again soon!
