When is a Stitched Square Layer not a square? When it's trimming a portion of Splashing Puddles for a quick spring card! Layer bunnies and umbrellas over another Stitched Square Layer, add clear sequins...that's it! Jean Okimoto here with a quick card to brighten someone's day, or at least make them smile.
- Open Studio Stitched Square Layers Die Set 30038
- Open Studio Come Rain or Shine Die Set 30027
- Splashing Puddles Die Set 99062
- Springtime Bunnies Die Set 99109
- Dove Gray and Wisteria Notecards (for diecutting)
- Key Lime Dots Signature Pattern
- Violet Dots Signature Pattern
- Pool Distressed Dots Signature Pattern
Cut Splashing Puddles from Dove Gray - then trim it using the largest Stitched Square Layer. It adds the perfect topstitched edge...and sure beats trying to cut it with a paper trimmer.
Cut the umbrellas from Memory Box Signature Patterns. Cut the handles from silver mirror cardstock, then trim the two longer handles just a bit. Attach adhesive label paper or sticker sheets to white felt to stabilize it, then cut Springtime Bunnies. The paper backing also prevents liquid adhesives from soaking thru the felt.
Attach everything to an A6 (4-⅝" x 6-¼") card of textured white cardstock - and add some tiny clear sequins.
Big thanks to everyone who took the Splish Splash class at Impress last weekend. Special thanks too - to Jenny for the yummy fruit pies to celebrate Pi Day. Thanks to Julie too - for sharing your stash of Seahawks chocolate eggs, purchased from Costco...in Portland. OK, that's 3 "thanks" in one paragraph - and here come 2 more. There's a lot to be thankful for.
Special thanks to Impress - for featuring the Splashing Puddles Die on Facebook!
Thanks for stopping by...have a great day
Adorable! TFS
