Hello, Stampers!

Good morning everyone!
It is hard to believe that Easter is at the end of the week. We still have about a foot of snow in our yard. However Easter is coming, and even though it does not look like spring, we need some Easter inspiration.
For today's card I began by inking White Cardstock using Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves, Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks. Die cut the eggs and chicks from the prepared cardstock. The word "Happy" was die cut from a White Cardstock layer. Stamp the word day under the word happy. I inked only the word "day "from the Wishing You Combo Stamp. Using only a word or a portion of the sentiment is a good way to get more from your stamps. Layer this onto a piece of Lagoon Cardstock. Adhere a piece of washi tape to the card layer. Glue the eggs and chicks in place. Spatter with watered down Peacock Feathers ink. Glue to a White note card.

Good Morning Lovelies. Marnie here with a fanciful Spring Card. My dream landscape would be all green grass and lavender skies. Now however it's mostly grey outside my window so I created this lovely card to share with you using the Surely Stitched Squares 99706 along with the Cottage In The Woods 98536 and Butterfly Delights 98130. All of the patterned papers are Memory Box as well. Don't you just love that little house popping out of the Stitched Square sitting on a lush green hill? The Surely Stitched Square is so versatile I originally got it to make Monogram cards but then started playing with all the other little dies you can put inside, so LOVE this about this die.

The little butterflies are so adorable floating around the trees.

Good morning Memory Box fans! It's my turn, Shelby, to bring some inspiration to your Sunday morning.
Have you checked out the wonderful Shaker Frame dies? Oh these dies are so much fun and bring the fun to making shaker cards.
I went with a clean style card using the square shaker frame and the coordinating Studio Square layers.
The background was stamped several times with the stamp called Mercer Rose Background and the "Smile" die is from the set A Lovely Smile and was cut with 2 sided adhesive foam for added dimension.

Hi everyone!
I wish I could say we were enjoying some spring weather this morning, but we are supposed to get snow showers all day! So with that being said, I figured my card should feature some bright spring colors.
I used the Bengal Background to create the pattern for my card background. I placed watercolor paper on top of a piece of chipboard to partially cut my paper when I ran it through the Cuttlebug. I also left out my cardstock shims that I normally use to die cut. This allowed me to only partially cut my watercolor paper and give it an embossed look.
I painted the background using watercolors. Die cut the Divine Dahlia from White Cardstock and adhere to the prepared background. Spatter the card with Gold acrylic paint. Assemble card as shown.

My inspiration for today's cards come from 'framed butterfly displays' and this quote from Henri David Thoreau:
"Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you. But if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder."
I've always loved butterflies--they way they flit and flutter in the garden, their colorful wings and the magic and mystery of evolving from a caterpillar. Here are two cards intended as "His & Her" styles.
These cards combine the techniques of distress inking and watercoloring. I die cut the butterfly backgrounds from watercolored paper, then inked the edges before layering the detail outline die cuts on top.

The note card was stenciled with white ink on the "Mesh" stencil before adding the distressed inked layers.
I call these cards my "Faux Butterfly Specimen" cards--you can't go wrong with a butterfly card--everyone loves them.

Spring rains are forecast here in Maine for the next few days with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. Because I live at the end of a rather long dirt road, what that signals for me is the beginning of Mud Season. I'll be out splashing in the puddles and the mud in my farmer's boots! I can't wait for all of the snow and ice to finally melt away.
Today's card features the Memory Box die Splashing Puddles No. 99062 on the cover of the card, cut from Pool Moroccan Dot paper and layered onto a Pool notecard:
The sentiment is the April Showers Combo stamp B1912 which I cut into two parts so I could use"April showers" on the card front.
I used the rest of the sentiment ("BRING MAY FLOWERS") on the inside of the card along with layered die cuts using the Trumpet Vine die No. 99075:
I think we often focus on the card front and forget that we have all that great white space inside the card which can also be decorated. If I mail this card, I'll add a layer of bubblewrap and/or cardboard over the flowers to keep the gems from punching through the card front.

Want a different way to use the delicate Tanglewood Frame Die? Tag it with the Tag You're It Rectangle Die Set from Open Studio. Jean Okimoto here, with another idea featuring one of the most popular dies from the January 2015 Release. It's a must-have.
Cut a Key Lime tag. Cut a portion of the Tanglewood Frame from textured white cardstock and trim it to approximately 3-⅜" x 2-⅜". Attach the Tanglewood diecut behind the tag frame. Cut a Key Lime Rectangle of the same size and attach it behind the Tanglewood diecut.
Cut the flower section again from Peony - leave the petals in the die until you need them. It'll be much easier to know where each little piece goes - trust me, I know. (Now.) Attach the petals, then add a tiny gold sequin in the center.
Cut "hello" from Peony. Attach the ribbon. Attach everything to a side-folded A2 card of textured white cardstock. Attach tiny gold sequins. Coordinate the card with a matching Peony Envelope.

Is it still raining? Gathered Blooms and a trio of umbrellas from the Come Rain or Shine Set create a flowery garden scene to remind us that yes, it really is spring. Jean Okimoto here with a quick card for you today.
Memento Luxe Olive Grove Pigment Inkpad
Stamp Gathered Blooms with Olive Grove and emboss it with detail clear powder. Color it with Peerless Watercolors. Cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Layer. Cut the umbrellas from Distressed Dots and Gingham Signature Patterns. Cut the handles from silver mirror cardstock. Trim a bit from the top of the long handle.
Here's a tip that makes it easy to attach the umbrella - place the handle on the background and attach a foam dot over it. Attach the umbrella top over the foam dot. The handle is securely attached and the foam dot adds a bit of dimension
Attach some sequins - and coordinate your card with a matching Squash Envelope.

Sherry Hester here with my first post as a new Memory Box Design Team member! You may know of me as a member of the Poppystamps Design Team, which was a most delightful experience with lots of very talented ladies. Being on the Memory Box Design team is a wonderful opportunity for me, and I hope to bring you lots of creative inspiration moving forward.
My card today features the Long Stem Lavender die. This card will be one of the cards we will be creating in an upcoming Memory Box class at Ultimate Hobbies in Orange.
I cut two sets of the lavender die, and one extra stem to add some curly filler. The flowers were sponged with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and enhanced with Wink of Stella glitter brush before being adhered to the stems. I cut two of the Lenora Bloom in two shades of green, and snipped off everything above the leaves. After sponging Shabby Shutter Distress Ink on the leaves, I arranged them as shown around the bottom of the lavender stems.
I love the Open Studio Rectangle Layers sooo much! I cut one of the layers, lightly splattered it with lavender ink, and added a sheer length of ribbon before adding the lavender and leaves. I created a banner using the “Wishing You a Happy Day” stamp, curved the banner a bit and then added it to the layered piece as well. I adhered the assembled layer to the card front, and added some gem stones to finish.
