Big Thanks to everyone who took last weekend's Memory Box Classes at Rubber Stamp Fantasy in Marietta! Special thanks too - to storeowners Debbie and Gary Taratoot - for all of their prep work, and Debbie's delicious snacks and lunch for everyone. Apologies to those who weren't able to get into the 3 classes - should I add more seats for future classes?
It was great meeting Linda Broom, our former Design Team member, who now lives there. I appreciate your help Linda! Thanks also to Toshiko for her help - and to Carlotta, for the cool notepad holder. We ate, laughed and talked a lot - and made 15 cards and had a great time! The weather was beautiful and, as promised, Debbie and Gary kept the snow and ice away for the weekend.
Here are "a few" of the Memory Box/Open Studio/Poppystamps dies on display there -
We had to eat at The Marietta Diner too - save room for the Banana Cake!
Thanks for stopping by - I'll be back later with another spring card.
I love your card....great use of the outline die...I have a couple of them and struggle with how to feature them on my cards...really like what you did.

Lovely card, Jean! So delicate looking. The display of Memory Box dies at Rubber Stamp Fantasy is terrific. What a feast for crafty people's eyes! I'll take some of those rather than the cake...lol!

Thank you Jan! You can also use the negative portion as a stencil - then attach the detailed outline diecut as an overlay on the inked area.

Thanks Debbie - the big Memory Box dies display is the first thing you see when you walk into Rubber Stamp Fantasy. The big cake display case is the first thing you'll see when you walk into the diner. Hard to resist - the dies and the cakes!

Bold, delicate, and gorgeous! Such pretty colors behind the outline lotus die. And those cakes....oh my! Gained a few calories just by looking at the pic!

Thanks Connie - I tried it w/ different colors for the lotus, but white was the winner. You'll see a lot more like this on OTB.

Thanks Donna - I'll try this with Peerless Watercolors next! The server said my first 3 choices (strawberry shortcake, apple pie and cherry pie) were sold out. Was he trying to tell me I didn't really NEED dessert?

Jean - I just saw this post! I've been traveling and haven't had time to stop by. Thanks for the shout out. It was so wonderful to finally meet you. I really enjoyed your classes and the cards are absolutely beautiful. What fun. I'm so glad I found Gary and Debbie's store! Hope to see you down in the south again soon!
Linda
