Faux-Stitched Half a Hearts
Looking for another Half a Heart idea? Here's a design using several best-selling dies from the January 2015 Collection. I love pushing our products to their max and getting the most use out of them.
Cut Half a Heart twice (leave some uncut space between the halves) - then add a layer of faux stitching by dry-embossing the largest Stitched Rectangle. It adds texture and scores a line down the center of the hearts so you can fold the sides up.
Want a glossy, glittery diecut greeting? Add a layer of Morocco irRESISTible ink to the love diecut - then sprinkle it with Impress glitter. It creates a shiny-bright finish with sparkly highlights - like glittered enamel!

- irRESISTIBLE Pico Embellisher - Morocco
Cut "love" from heavy white cardstock. Carefully remove the white cap from the Morocco Pico Embellisher and spread Morocco over the diecut using the fine tip. To replace the cap - carefully push the wire tip (attached to the cap) into the applicator tip. Sprinkle Impress glitter over the wet ink. Set the diecut aside to dry.
Cut Half a Heart from Holly Berry.
Turn it over to the white side and cut the other half of the heart - leave about ¼" of uncut cardstock between the diecuts.
Place the long edge of the largest Stitched Rectangle along the uncut portion of the hearts and dry-emboss the stitchlines using the plates and rubber embossing mats recommended by the manufacturer of your diecut machine. Here's the stacking sequence for the Grand Calibur - gray base plate, die (cutting edge face-up), cardstock (right side facing the die), tan rubber embossing mat, light pink embossing plate.
Spritz watercolor paper lightly with water, then with Tangelo and Lilac Posies. Spritz it with Gold, and allow the inks to airdry for about 5 minutes. Heat-set the inks. Dry-emboss the watercolor paper with the edge of the Stitched Rectangle.
Cut the smallest Cherub Heart three times - center the die over the embossed stitches. Attach the Cherub hearts to the Half a Hearts with foam dots.
Attach everything to a 5.5" square card of textured natural cardstock. Add the greeting and gold sequins.
Shelby and Marnie shared some great Half a Heart designs too - you'll love their cards!
Thanks for stopping by - hope you'll be back for another project this evening.
