This is the first Saturday in weeks that we are not getting a snow storm. Of course it's still very cold this morning, but I will take that over a snow storm.
I am featuring another new die from the January release called," Waltzing Butterflies". For this card I used Gold metallic paper to die cut the Butterflies. On a strip of book paper trace around the outside edge of Butterfly die cut and cut away that portion. Lightly paint over the book paper with White paint. Ink the edges of the paper with Brown ink and spatter with Black paint. Adhere the book paper strip to Black cardstock . Spatter with White paint. Glue the Butterfly die cut in place. In the body area of the butterflies glue a pen nib. Stamp the birthday saying and the Christmas sentiment on Parchment cardstock. Cut the sentiment elements from these stamped images and glue in place. Add Black pearls for a finishing touch.
Let's start the day with a bright and cheery birthday card! I try to keep birthday cards ready in case someone's special day sneaks up on me. This one is going to my granddaughter Addison who loves pink and purple---she's at Disneyland today and will be 8 years old!
This is a 5 1/2" square top folding card and all the dies used on this card (inside and outside) are from the NEW Open Studio collection. I die cut the Happy word three times from shimmer paper in bright Springy colors from the Share the Happinessdie set--it's so versatile -- 3 different lettering styles are included in this set.
One of my "go to" dies for birthday cards is the Make A Wish candles---there are 3 different sizes of candles in this set! I cut the large size candles from white card stock, covered the "wax" portion with patterned washi tape, then colored the wick and flame with copic markers (added some sparkly glitter too)
Another versatile die for celebrations is the Banner Parade set. Here I used the streamer and stars--I have lots of ideas for the other dies included in this set---coming soon.
Now for the inside...
How fun is this birthday lettering from the Best Birthday Ever die set? Just like the Happy set, there are three lettering styles included in the birthday set--Wow! One die set can give you so many options for lettering--it's fun to mix up the lettering styles too.
Lastly, I used the Studio Circle Layersto cut out those big, bright circles. Your scrap pieces of card stock are perfect for cutting out these out. I added more yellow stars from the Banner Parade set on the inside too.

Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today, showing you abright, filled with spring breeze card.
This time around I wanted to use the die in not that traditional way, so I used the negative space of the die and filled it with sequins and bright dew drops.
For that I decided to go with the contrast colors red/green and kraft/white
Putting these together gives me hope that spring isn't too far away! And Easter will be here before we know it--on April 5th this year! There is definitely a chocolate bunny or two and a box of yellow Peeps to include with the tagged gift or tucked into the gift box. Think the next baskets I make will have to have purple chickens to match the other Peeps I have!
Hi everyone. Laura here. Today I am showing you a project that Dave Brethauer, the owner of Memory Box created. It is a great way to color the Steampunk Corner die (99084) using an assortment of alcohol inks. Here is a peek of the finished aged look of the gears:

For the gears, Dave cut them out from shimmery cardstock and then dripped various colors of alcohol inks on top of the die cut before letting it dry completely. Here are the colors Dave used for the project. He used Copic refills, but really, and alcohol ink will work:
For the background, Dave used regular cardstock and dripped alcohol ink on top and let the colors blend with each other.
Keep adding colors and letting them blend
If you don't want to color the gears, you can cut them out of metallic paper. They are particularly great for masculine cards.
I hope you enjoyed seeing Dave's work as much as I did. I am definitely inspired to give his techniques a try.
Today I have a quick and easy masculine birthday card for you.
I die cut the Large Ringlets Die from Kraft cardstock and adhered it to White cardstock. Spatter the card with black ink to add a some texture. Die cut the Surely Stitched Circle,once from Black and once from Kraft cardstock. Glue the Black die cut to a 3/4" strip of Kraft cardstock. Use the inside Kraft circle from the die cut and glue this on top of the Black die cut. Stamp the Something Special sentiment on White cardstock which is layered on a Black strip of cardstock. Assemble card as shown and embellish the die cut with a button.

Simple Pleasuresis celebrating their 20th anniversary this weekend!! The weather is trying to interfere with the good times, but it isn't wining! We had some great make and takes using the exclusive Memory Box dies and stamps and an inky good time was had by all. With the snow and wind blowing outside, I, of course, went with a warmer springy themed card!
The background was created with distress inks and applied with the ink blending tool and sponge. The butterflies were cut using one of my favorite dies called Peaceful Butterfly Wings. I cut the Tall Bamboo twice and layered them to create a hiding place for the birds. The birds are from Open Studio line called Meadow Branch Set
Today was an unusually warm, sunny spring day in Seattle, in February - but here's a card that was inspired by a scene from the golf course just a few days ago. Big, ploppy raindrops and guys and their golf umbrellas having a wonderful time. So very Seattle! Jean Okimoto here - hope you like this card - and know someone who'd love to receive it.

Stamp Candy Cane Stripes on Granny Smith with Onyx Black and heat-set the ink. Cut the umbrellas. Cut the golf clubs twice from silver mirror cardstock - trim the second set and use them for umbrella handles. The Come Rain or Shine umbrellas have their own handles - but I wanted the golf umbrellas to have straight handles. Picky, picky.
Cut the golf bag from Graphite. Trim the golf clubs and attach them behind the bag. Cut Splashing Puddles (the other puddle is hidden behind the circle) and attach it to a 5.5" square card.
Lay the handles for the umbrellas on the circle and place a foam dot over them. Attach the umbrella tops to the foam dots. It's a quick way to secure the delicate handles and add dimension. Assemble the card and add purple sequins.

Notecards for diecutting - Parchment, Dove Gray, Granny Smith, Sunflower and Pool
Cut the Shaker Square Frame twice - from Dove Gray and Parchment. Attach the Parchment frame behind the Dove Gray frame for dimension - and use the inner section as a background.
Cut the fronds and "hello" - save the pointy oval piece from inside the "l." Use it to create an exclamation point, with the help of a ¼" punched circle. Trim the tip of the "o."
Cut the bird from Pool and Pool Distressed Dots. Trim the bottom of the fronds to eliminate some of the overlapped areas. Attach everything to a A-6 card (4-⅝" x 6-¼") card of Pool Distressed Dots. Add iridescent turquoise sequins.
