A Tanglewood Hello

Hello, Stampers - welcome back to Outside the Box!

Today's card features two new dies and one "old" one: Tanglewood Frame, Forest Hummingbirds, and Alphabet Soup, respectively.

I employed my favorite technique which involves Ranger Distress inks and Perfect Pearls. It's very hard to see the general shimmery goodness of this card in a photo, so I zoomed in very close (see second photo) to try to capture the shimmer. You can see it but still not like in person!

Just so you can see how shimmery it is....

  1. Make 4.25" x 5.5" card base.
  2. Die cut Tanglewood Frame from watercolor paper.
  3. Apply inks using foam applicator tool. (NOTE: pounce - don't rub - the foam onto the watercolor paper - the die cut is too intricate and will tear.)
  4. Spritz the inked die cut with a solution of Perfect Pearls and water.
  5. Once dry, adhere die cut to card front.
  6. Cut strip of cardstock and notch ends with scissors.
  7. Slide beneath flower and adhere.
  8. Die cut alphabet letters and adhere "hello" to banner.
  9. Die cut hummingbird and adhere with dimensional adhesive dots.
  10. Adhere gems.
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!
