Share the Love
Hi - Welcome to the Day 3 of our Blog Blitz as we introduce our January 2015 Collection of Dies and Stencils. Jean Okimoto here with a another spritzy-bright card for you. Did you see Shelby's beautiful card this morning? I was inspired by her great use of colors...hope you like these colors too.
- NEW Vernay Heart Die 99080
- NEW Open Studio All About the Love Die Set 30005
- NEW Open Studio Cherub Hearts Die Set 30008
- NEW Open Studio Shaker Rectangle Frames Die 30003
- White Notecards
- Peony Envelope
- Fireworks! Spritzes - Tangelo and Lilac Posies
- Sheer Shimmer Spritz - Gold
- Memento Luxe Pigment Inkpad - Wedding Dress
Spritz watercolor paper lightly with water, then with Tangelo, Lilac Posies and Gold. Let it air-dry for about 10 minutes, then heat-set the inks with a dry iron on the cotton setting. Cut the large Cherub Heart. Spritz some extra paper and have it ready for other projects and quick tags.
Place the heart in the Vernay Heart die and dry-emboss it. Use the embossing mats, plates and stacking sequence recommended by the manufacturer of your diecut machine. I use the rubber embossing mat, light pink embossing plate and gray base plate with my Grand Calibur.
Leave the diecut in the die and stencil Wedding Dress onto the embossed areas. Remove the die and heat-set the ink.
Cut "love" from the All About the Love Set from gold mirror cardstock. Cut a frame of textured white cardstock using the Shaker Rectangle Frame set. I like how it creates a 'reverse-shadowbox' effect...what do you think?
Attach everything to a White Notecard - use a foam dot for upper right section of the heart. Attach iridescent pink sequins. Coordinate the card with a matching Peony Envelope.
Want to win prizes from our new collection? Be sure to comment on each designer's post throughout our blog blitz this week. The deadline for comments is 11:59 PM EST on Sunday January 18th. As Deborah said, you increase your chances of winning if you comment on each and every blitz post!
Impress has a great selection of the new products...but hurry, they're selling quickly - and Valentine's Day is exactly a month away!
Hope you're enjoying our blitz and are inspired to create with the very best products in the papercrafts industry - and they're proudly made in America. Be sure to stop by again tomorrow - Marnie has another one of her great designs for you!
The Vernay heart is a beauty! Love the way you showcased it, too. So pretty. That die is one I want. I love that Impress Stamp Shop in Tukila. Was visiting the area and did a stamp store check and found it. Great store. Left a few dollars there, too. It will definitely be a stop when we visit the Seattle area. Go Seahawks!

Beautiful card, beautiful die. You sure made it come to life. I'm addicted to shaker cards right now. The rectangles would surely make it easier to make them. Love the love die too!
