Tanglewood Frame

Good morning everyone!

Welcome to Day 3 of the Memory Box blog blitz.  I hope you've been enjoying the amazing creations and are getting inspired...I know I am!

Well I'm still pretending it's not Winter, and I'm residing somewhere in the tropics:)

I love me some bold bright colors, and I created the background paper and for the hummingbirds using Dylusion sprays.  The frame die cut is called Tanglewood Frame and measures exactly to fit on the front of an A2 card base...how perfect for a quick and decorative card.  Your friends will think you're a rock star!

Laura talked yesterday about double sided adhesive sheets.  These sheets are perfect for using with the Memory Box dies that are very detailed.  I attached plain white card stock to a 6x6 sheet of double sided adhesive, trimmed the extra adhesive so it wouldn't stick on my die cutting plates.  The die cut the white card stock and voila, the backside of the die cut paper already has adhesive.

The gorgeous hummingbirds are called Forest Hummingbirds.  The die includes the large hummingbird and the smaller one.  For this design I cut out the die twice and adhered to the Tanglewood Frame using a foam dots.  The sentiment is called Wishing You Combo.

Don't forget to leave a comment on today's post for a chance at winning the Tanglewood Frame die.  Check back this afternoon to see the amazing creation from Jean!

Thanks for stopping by today and best of luck in the draw.

AMAZING colors! Absolutely in awe! LOVE both of these dies but the Tanglewood Frame is screaming my name LOUDLY! I love all the delicate parts in this die! I can see this being used regularly! TFS!

Jan...way to pop by bubble:) Hopefully your moisture isn't coming in the form of snow which would really smash my dreams!!

Blue Rose,
I prefer using Sizzix double sided adhesive sheets when I'm using adhesive sheets as backing for an intricate die. They are thinner than other brands which eliminates the need for multiple runs through the die cut machine or adding shims. If I'm using the double sided adhesive with the glitter and then coloring (like Laura showed yesterday), I go with the Sookwang brand sheets as they are a bit heavier and hold more glitter which then holds more color. Hope this helps
