Happy Valentine's Day Tag

Welcome back, Stamp Lovers!

My card today features one of the new Memory Box dies, Heart Ribbon, and one from Memory Box's new Open Studio line of dies - the largest of the Rectangle Tag dies.

Memory Box dies (Hearts Ribbon, Rectangle Tags, Adorable Posies); Glitter Paper: American Craft; Ink and markers (Tsukineko, Ranger); Accents: gems (Mark Richards), pearls (Paper Studio), ribbon (Michaels)

If you want to do something new and different for a sentiment, draw your own! And if you're afraid to draw a sentiment, print one out in grey scale on your paper - very light - in a sans serif font (like Ariel) and then draw on top of it. You can do it!!!
Today's post is a short one because I had a relapse with my bronchitus, so I'm a little under the weather. (Boo!)
Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!

Delicate Nest Card

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed last weeks blog blitz.  The winners of the blog blitz will be announced later today at 3pm EST.  Today I am featuring another new die from the 2015 spring release, called Delicate Nest.  This die is part of the new Open Studio line.

I die cut the nest from Kraft Cardstock and inked it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  Die cut three eggs from White Cardstock and ink those using Broken China Distress Ink.  Spritz lightly with water to get a speckled look.  I stenciled the feathers in the background using the Broken China Ink and the Garden Umbel Stencil. Stamp the sentiment using brown ink. Spatter the stenciled background and the eggs using watered down Vintage Photo Ink.   Assemble card as shown.

Memory Box Products Used:

  • Delicate Nest Die # 30023

Open Studio All About the Love and More...

Hi everyone!  Pam here to share another LOVE card with you on this pleasant Sunday in January!

I started out by cutting three of the NEW Open Studio Shaker Rectangle Frame dies and gluing them together with a narrow line of Tombow Mono Multi glue for the white frame.

Using the NEW Open Studio dies, A Lovely Smile, All About the Love and Amazing You dies I created the sentiment.

A heart from the NEW Open Studio set Cherub Hearts was trimmed a bit and glued to the frame.

Then I made the banner from the NEW Open Studio Banner Parade die set.  I love this set!  So many ways to be creative with it! Cut three times, layered together with mono multi glue and stuck on to the card with Scrapbook Adhesives mounting squares.

The hearts were all cut in red from the Banner Parade set also.

I edged the top folding A2 size kraft cardbase with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the ink blending tool.

That's it!  A CAS valentine to get you in the mood for 'love'! haha

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello from San Diego!

Here is a pretty Valentine card using several of the dies from the new Memory Box dies. We had fun at my store The Stamp Addict putting it together to showcase the new dies in the store! I hope you like it!

We used the Heart Ribbon Die for the little heart on the bottom right. In the darker pink we used the Ferrand Heart die. For the background of the card in the light pink we used the Bengal Background die.

Here is a photo showing the detail in the flowers on the Ferrand Heart Die.

We added some pearls to the centers and I think it just gives the card the final touch of elegance!

Until next time, I hope you enjoy some of these new dies...they are so much fun to play with don't you agree?!

Stitched Love

FullSizeRender (4)

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Memory Box Blog Blitz for the 2015 Spring Release.  I am the final post for the blitz and I hope you have all enjoyed the inspiring creations this week.

For my card I used the new Cross Stitched Love Die, Fairytale Flower Frame Die and Hearts Heart Confetti Stencil.  I die cut the Fairytale Flower Frame from Cranberry Distressed Dot cardstock.  Using the smaller die from the Cross Stitched Love Die, I die cut a 1" strip of White cardstock.  Turning the die cut strip over, I traced over the word with a waterbased red marker. Paint over the inked letters with plain water and a paintbrush.  When you turn it to the right side it looks as if you stitched the word.

FullSizeRender (5)

For the background layer of my card I stamped text on Kraft cardstock.  Once the ink is dry, lightly brush over the background with Gesso.  Once again dry this layer. Next I stenciled texture paste through the Hearts Heart Confetti Stencil.  On the dried stenciled background I inked with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  Mist lightly with water to blend the ink.

Adhere the Fairytale Flower Frame to the stenciled background. Pop dot the Love die cut strip on top of the frame.  Spatter this layer using watered down Gesso and Pumice Stone Ink.  Assemble the card as shown. Add pearls to the large flower centers.

New Memory Box products used:

  • Cross Stitched Love Die # 99128
  • Fairytale Flower Frame #99067
  • Hearts Heart Confetti Stencil #88588

Be Mine Valentine

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

Today is the last day of the Memory Box Blitz---what a great week of gorgeous cards featuring the new 2015 Collection!  Donna will be here this afternoon with an inspiring card so be sure to come back for the Blitz Finale.   I've enjoyed seeing everyone's creativity and I hope you have too.

I love Valentine's Day--My husband proposed to me on this special day --a mere 37 years ago.   Today I'm sharing a Valentine card with a fun fold.  When fully open, there are three panels...take a look!

Be Mine Valentine frontThe heart panel on the front has a right-side fold which is attached to the inside of the card.  I layered the Vidalia Heart onto the largest solid heart in the Glorious Hearts die set.  Beneath the heart I tucked in 2 sprigs of Botanical Stems, distressed on the edges with a darker shade of green ink.  For a little sparkle, I added sequins, pearls and a little silver coiled wire.

Be Mine Opening

Once the heart panel swings open, you can see the complete Bengal Background die on the front which I die cut in grey metallic paper then adhered to a dark grey note card.  I love the tone-on-tone look and the Bengal Background was too pretty to cover up.Be Mine Open

Now you can see the inside of the card which is really three panels.  The Be Mine letters are from the Alphabet Soup die set and the heart is from the Heart Waterfall  die.  It has many sizes and shapes of hearts--perfect for layering.Be Mine Double Heart

On the right hand panel I die cut the Love Connection hearts in black, white and deep fuschia.  On the black layer I dabbed  silver leafing ink randomly to give it a distressed look, then pieced the other two colors into place.  I also added a few hearts from the Heart Waterfall die along with some silver sequins.

Hope this week has jump-started your desire to create --what better way to start than with the new Memory Box 2015 Collection!  How about winning one of the new dies featured this week?

One of the perks of participating in our Blog Blitz is the opportunity to win the Vidalia Heart Die.  Leave a comment on this post.  You have until Sunday, January 18th, 11:59 p.m. EST to leave your comments. Winners will be announced on this blog Monday, January 19th.  Want more chances to win?  Be sure to comment on the other designer's posts this week.  Good luck!

Happy Friday!

Whispy Long Stem Lavendar

So excited to be on the here for the New Release Blog Blitz.  Marnie here joining you today.   I have created a card using the Long Lavender Stem - 99108 along with the Studio Square Layers - 30021 and the Tag You're It Squares - 30025.  I die cut lots of little lavender stems and flowers in a couple of shades of purple.  Then I layered them onto a Studio Square I inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  Any die cut excess I cut off the edges and I added the Tag Frame over the top.  Some lavender tulle and glitter tops off the card.  I had a lavender stem left over so I decorated the inside with the square from the tag frame.
