A Latte Love
Hi everyone! I hope you are all as excited about the new release as I am! We will be having a blog blitz next week with lots of posts and prizes, but for now, I wanted to share some of the new dies with you.
This card was made with my mom in mind. She is a coffee fantastic with a special fondness (obsession) with lattes.
To make this card, I used the Large Coffee on the Go cup die (99121). The set comes with the individual dies to cut out the cup, the lid, and the cup holder. Side note here.... I was playing Words with Friends the other day and learned that a holder for a cup that doesn't have a handle is called a zarf. That would be an amazing word counter! However, I think if you were at Starbucks and asked for a zarf for your cup, they would look at you funny.
I wanted the lid to look a bit more realistic, so I cut it from white glossy paper that would look more like a plastic lid:
The picture above also shows you a close up of the brand new hearts I used. They are called Cross Stitched Hearts (99125) and have tiny little x's marked in them. I really like the look.
To finish the card, I added letters from the Classic Lower Alphabet set (98360).
Is anyone else craving a cup of coffee right now besides me? Good thing I didn't make a pizza card!
Cool card, love the cross stitched hearts!

What a cute card! A coffee gift card from a favorite cafe shop would go nicely inside the card. See...you've already inspired me!
